I'm sure you've heard the news story by now. 2 years old, beaten to death by her mom and mom's SO. Stuck in a tool shed for a couple months til they get around to shoving her in a cooler and dumping her in the ocean.
Anyone remember the book Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret? Guess this is the "NO YOU DUMBASS" answer some people really seem to need.

i agree. tragic but it is by non means a rare event. the week i moved to new york city many years ago a little girl was found shoved in a cooler in the park not a block from where i lived. started seeing artists renditions of the poor thing in store windows immediately. Sad. At the time of my leaving NYC they still hadn't figured out who she was.
